Article: Entertaiment
Entertaining has become a broad and ever-changing activity, from the individual selecting and enjoying a private entertainment from a huge array of choices in an electronic format, to the couple who entertains their guests with a banquet accompanied by music and dance; from an entire room of people who are entertained at a party, or at a ball, or by a performance intended for a large audience. Whether fun and laughter are the main objects of the entertainment, or some serious purpose may be served (as in a ceremony, a religious festival or satire) the experience is generally agreeable and diversionary.
