Entertaiment is a form of audience-centered commercial culture that keeps people amused, engaged, and diverted. It is a multi-disciplinary activity that impacts the motion picture, television, books, music, live performance, branded entertainment, and new media industries. It is important to remember that what entertains one person may be regarded as a nuisance by another. Also, many familiar forms have the potential to cross over multiple media and can demonstrate an unlimited capacity for creative remix. This is what makes them so resilient and enduring.
